John Patrick visited Santa yesterday and loved him. He did not want to get off of his lap.

Today, is his 10 month birthday. I cannot believe it. Everyone tells you the time flies and it really does. Well, all my Christmas shopping is done, just need to wrap. That is hard to do with a 10 month old. He loves paper, I will just have to wait for a nap. I am sure he will get more than he needs for his 1st Christmas, but he is so easy to spoil. Merry Christmas to everyone. This Christmas is a true blessing to our family, we have John Patrick.

I am back. Sorry, that has taken me so long to report on the Fartin Martins but we have been busy with traveling and the holidays. Jason has been golfing in some tournaments one in North Carolina and one in Jupiter, Florida. So, when he leaves for golf, John Patrick, Stolie and I head to West Virginia.

John Patrick is now standing, he pulls himself up on everything and he tries to walk. It will not be too much longer. His two lower teeth finally came in, right at his 9 month birthday. When he smiles with those teeth, it just melts your heart. At his 9 month well visit, he moved up into the 65th percentile. WOW, at his 6 month visit he was only in the 25th percentile. He is really growing. His grandpa John thinks he is going to be 6'5. It is hard to believe he was 3lbs 9oz. at birth. Here are some pics of the little man. I will try and do better with blogging.

Halloween

Halloween is just around the corner and John Patrick and I are already enjoying his first October. We have the house decorated and he loves it. All of the spooky sounds and lights. Plus, his Shrek costume arrived on October 1. I had to try it on him right away. OMG, he looked so cute and funny. I was laughing so hard that he was scared.

The weather has been unseasonably warm and no rain. Hopefully, next week we will have Fall temperatures and some rain. I cannot wait for the leaves to start turning. I feel like a little kid again, living vicariously through my son. I love it!!!!

Jr. Golf Banquet

Last night was Jason's Jr. Golf Banquet and J.P. and I attended. This was the first time I really got to get J.P. all dressed up. He looked so grown up and adorable. He really looks like his daddy. The banquet was really nice and the food was awesome. Jason did a wonderful job. This was his first year that he was in charge of the Junior program, what a great season they had. I love the kids.

Well, the big game is tomorrow night. Let's Goooo Mountaineers!!!

John Patrick- 7 months

I cannot believe it has been 7 months, before we know it we will be Christmas shopping. We have been enjoying the cooler temperatures, it is starting to feel like fall. This is the best season ever. Football, cool weather and the trees.

Jason enjoyed a wonderful day of golf yesterday. He played for the March of Dimes in honor of John Patrick and all premature babies. I believe they raised a lot of money. Plus the weather was perfect a high of 75 with no clouds.

Grandma Judi is coming up Friday and Saturday to visit while Jason goes on a little golf trip to Pine Valley. Grandma Judi wants to go to the zoo again. So I am sure we will take a trip there and maybe go fall shopping. We are going to decorate our home for fall and Halloween. This will be J.P.'s first Halloween. How much fun!!!!

Stomach Flu

The day after John Patrick's doctors visit, he got a bug. This was the first time Jason and I had ever seen him puke. He puked so much that I was ready to rush him to the ER, but the doctor said just to try and keep him hydrated. Thank goodness it only lasted 24 hours. The next evening I started puking and ran a fever for 24 hours and then it was Jason's turn. Our dog Stolie even puked once. I am so glad this is all over and hope nobody ever gets this nasty bug.

We then headed down to Morgantown for Labor Day weekend and for the home opener for the Mountaineers. It was John Patrick's first Mountaineer football game. I am waiting for some pics to be emailed to me so I can share. Hint: Aunt Shelly.

6 month check-up

Yesterday, was John Patrick's 6 month check-up. He weighed 15.7 lbs. and was 25.5 inches long. Dr. Lagnese was really impressed with his growth and his milestones. He is almost sitting on his own, the doctor said that it would not be too long before he is crawling. He is solid as a rock and is very active. Everyday there is something new that he does. Then at the end of the appointment comes the shots. The part that I do not enjoy very much, but he is such a little trooper. I watch him like a hawk the whole day looking for any reactions.
Today, is the first morning in five mornings that I have woke up to sunshine and not rain. YEAH!! It is so much easier waking up when it is beautiful outside. They say it might even reach the 90's. Maybe we will head up to the pool. Make it a great one!!!

Morgantown and then company

What a crazy past week. We first started off the week in Morgantown, visiting family. John Patrick got to meet his great uncles Mike and Jim and his great aunt Kylene. We had a wonderful time seeing everyone. Then on Monday John Patrick and I headed over to Country Lane Photography for a photo session. This was interesting, trying to get a six month old to do whatever you want them to do is impossible. However, the pics turned out better than I thought they would. We returned back to Pittsburgh on Tuesday. I had a friend from Florida Nicole that came to visit Wednesday afternoon, it was great getting to see her and catch up. Then on Thursday Risa and her two children Gaven and Sydney came in from Charlotte. They were on there way to Buffalo, NY and stopped here for two nights. Sydney is only one month older than John Patrick so it was fun to see them together. Gaven is eight and he has grown so much. They left on Saturday morning heading to Buffalo. Needless to say, I was wore out. Now I am playing catch up to laundry and housework. We celebrated Stolie Brooke's (dog) 7th birthday on Sunday, August 19th. It is funny because she still acts like she is 2. Happy Birthday Stolie, I hope we have seven more great years.

Fun Pics!!

Some pics from today!! Enjoy.

A Beautiful Saturday

What a beautiful Saturday!!!! We could not have asked for better weather today. Grandma Judi came up last night and we got up early to head to the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. We had a great time. John Patrick slept for half of it, but mom and I had really enjoyed ourselves. We ate lunch at the zoo and then came home to get ready for the pool. John Patrick likes taking naps in his stroller at the pool. So mom and I swam while he slept. When he finally woke up, we took him for a swim. Needless to say when got back home we were all tired and ordered pizza. It is now 9:00pm and Grandma and John Patrick are asleep together on the couch. That is why I have time to blog and download pics from today.

We are headed to Morgantown tomorrow. I will update you all when we get back on Wednesday. Good night.

First Entry

Today I decided to start blogging. I think this will be a cool way for our family and friends to see what the Martin family is up to all time. Jason is playing today in Weirton, WV in the Tri-State Assistants Championship. Too bad that is 92 degrees. So far the same routine for the rest of us. Sleep, eat and play. Grandma and Grandpa Carson are headed up to Pittsburgh to visit their grandson Friday night and we are excited to see them. On Sunday we are headed to Morgantown to visit Grammy and Pops Martin for a couple of days. There will be great aunts and uncles there that have yet to meet John Patrick. We are looking forward to the trip. I will let you all know how everything goes when we return. Here is a pic of John Patrick in his Jump-a -roo.
